Low Cost Cosmetic Dentistry

Our facial expression tells the world whether we are sad, frustrated, content or happy. Showing our teeth plays a hugely important and influential role in our facial expressions and how they are read by our friends, family and colleagues.

Improving your smile with cosmetic dentistry is no longer the domain of the rich and famous. Using the latest techniques and materials available in modern dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and cosmetic surgery, Perfect Profiles offer all these at a fraction of the costs typically found in both the United States and the UK.

Cosmetic Dentistry has solutions for all the following:

  • Stained teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Crooked and crowded teeth
  • Gaps
  • Worn and misshaped teeth
  • Missing teeth

Porcelain dental veneers are a beautiful way to correct stained, chipped, or crooked teeth. By placing glass-like ceramic porcelain on the surface of teeth, dentists can provide patients with bright, straight, and natural looking smiles.

For teeth that are badly damaged, dental crowns can be a highly practical and cosmetically-friendly treatment option. The dental crown is a tooth-shaped covering made of metal, ceramic or porcelain fused to metal. In addition, dental crowns may be used to anchor a dental bridge or to cap a dental implant post.

Although metal crowns (such as in gold crowns, etc) are very durable, they cannot be coloured to provide a natural look. In today’s cosmetic dental industry, there are two types of crowns that are most commonly used:

Porcelain fused to metal

Dental crowns made of porcelain fused to metal are more aesthetically pleasing than those made of metal. They are very robust and can be coloured to match your own natural tooth colouring. However, their metal core still gives the porcelain a slight opaque appearance and, over time, a thin metal band can become visible along the gum line. Therefore, due to their robustness and strength, they are ideal for back teeth, and especially the molars.

Strength was a concern for earlier alternatives to porcelain fused to metal in tooth restoration. This is now no longer an issue with new, zirconium based ceramic crowns. This new material delivers a strength and durability that is comparable with the porcelain fused to metal crowns. It also has a lighter and more natural feeling, whilst enabling a closer colouring to your natural teeth. This type of crown is generally recommended for the front teeth and for using porcelain fused to metal for back teeth.

Achieving a natural-looking smile after tooth loss is made possible with dental bridges. Dental bridges are a treatment used by dentists to fill a gap or gaps created by a missing tooth or teeth.

A dental bridge is made up of two dental crowns either side of the gap and a false tooth (or teeth), similar to the crown, in between. Alternatively, they can be fixed to implants or a combination of post crowns and dental implants. The dental bridge type you choose will depend on the condition of your smile, your cost goals, and the cosmetic results you desire.

When there are missing teeth, crowns and bridges can be fixed to implants. Perfect Profiles are able to offer huge savings on dental implants in Luton and Wolverhampton – see our Implants page for more detailed information.
