The world of Dental Implants can be confusing. There are many potential elements to treatment and it can be difficult to calculate exactly what is relevant for you and consequently what the total costs may be.
As with any medical procedure, no two cases are exactly the same. Perfect Profiles value their patients as individuals and assess every single case with this in mind. That’s why we offer free consultations upfront and without obligation. We believe our patients deserve to know their options without having to pay.
Perfect Profiles have put together a guide to help you understand the different elements involved in Dental Implant treatments and how to compare clinic costings.
Dental Implants can help restore a variety of different situations- from a single tooth through to replacing an entire row/arch of teeth. We want to help you understand what elements are necessary to be aware of when looking at and comparing costs for Implant treatment.
We recommend screw-retained in most situations as this gives the patient the most secure fixing whilst being easy for a dental professional to work with (as they can remove this easily without affecting the implant or restoration in the long-term).
Customised abutments may be needed when the Implant has had to be placed at an angle (usually due to bone reasons within the gumline).
For 3/+ teeth missing in a row, Bridges can be fitted on to Implants to give restoration without the need to have an Implant for each missing tooth individually. Bridge pricing should be worked out by multiplying the number of missing teeth by the crown cost above (i.e. To replace 3 teeth across the front, you would have the Zirconium cost x 3). Bridges need a minimum of 2 implants (and accompanying abutments) to anchor them (total number of implants required depends on the total number of teeth the Bridge is replacing).
We also have ‘full’ restoration options for when an entire arch of teeth are missing. Usually using between 4-6 Dental Implants (and abutments) to secure such options. These are referred to as Implant Dentures (different from traditional Dentures as they follow the shape of the gumline closely and don’t cover large areas of the mouth such as the palette). Our Implant Dentures are £600 per upper or lower.
Many patients ask about ‘Extras’. These are elements of the treatment that may not be clear/highlighted in the price lists but are sometimes required. At Perfect Profiles, no treatment is ever agreed before the patient has the exact cost (and treatment plan with detailed stages of treatment) but in order to give a better picture of what else needs to be considered, see below.
-To cover the total cost for what can be multiple scans or x-rays through treatment, we offer an X-ray package at £150.
-X-rays are £60 individually (Large).
-CT Scans are £110 individually.
-Aftercare medication to keep infection away and allow the best conditions for healing, £20.
-Hygiene Packages are £110 and include pre-surgery prophylactic clean (to ensure the gumline has no infection and is as clear as possible of bacteria, before Implant placement) as well as a Post-surgery Maintain and Clean appointment to help the patient look after their new Tooth/Teeth at the end of the treatment and ensure the brightest of smiles on leaving the clinic once all Implant treatment has been completed.
-Bone Grafting can be used to enhance existing bone levels within the gumline when needed. Usually Artificial or Bovine bone granules are used to restimulate and add to bone levels to increase the likelihood of success of the Implant integration. Bone Grafting is £550 per area (up to 4 x areas).
-Sinus Lifts are sometimes performed when having implants on the upper row. The Lift raises the Sinus so that this is not affected or perforated when the Implant/s are placed within the gum. This helps prevent nerve damage. Sinus lifts are priced at £620.
-Temporary Dentures can be used to give the aesthetic look and basic function of teeth being present. These are used during the treatment process while the Implants are osseo-integrating and also after tooth/teeth extractions (during the healing period). Temporary Dentures are £220 to cover a single tooth or £330 for 2+ missing teeth.
Below are some guideline illustrations with costs to demonstrate elements of Dental Implant Treatment Pricing. Please remember, these are an EXAMPLE ONLY and Perfect Profiles will supply bespoke Treatment Plans which may not need some of the elements listed below or may require different treatment options:
Is the cost simply too high for you to consider?
After visiting Perfect Profiles for your free consultation, you may well be surprised to find that you can save as much as 50% compared to dental costs found elsewhere in the UK.
Even though our dental implant and crown work prices are very low compared to the average UK dental costs, we acknowledge that these costs are unplanned and can sometimes represent a heavy burden on the family budget.
To help make your dentistry more affordable, we are able to offer finance at attractive low interest rates, with easy monthly payments. One major way we are able to help is to offer patients receiving larger cost treatment plans interest free finance over 1 to 3 years. Any patient requiring treatment totalling more than £6000 is offered the chance to take advantage of this offer.
For lower cost treatment plans (between £2000 and £6000 in cost), we’re happy to offer a low interest finance arrangement at just 9.9% APR. These terms are available for up to 5 years so can really help treatment become affordable.
At your initial consultation, the Treatment Co-ordinator will go through the various options to find the right arrangement for you. We will take care of your application and make it as easy as possible to apply for Finance.
All finance arrangements are subject to credit checks through our credit partners Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance/Shawbrook.
For patients who have a missing tooth or are missing a number of teeth, dental implants offer our dentists the opportunity to provide a safe, reliable, and cosmetically-friendly long term solution that can create or restore wonderful smiles.
Tooth loss can occur as a result of a variety of dental problems. Gum disease, infection and injury are just three of the common reasons that can cause a patient to eventually suffer tooth loss.
Dentures have long been a suitable treatment option for patients with missing teeth. Partial dentures are dental appliances which can help in cases when a fewer amount of teeth are missing, whereas full dentures can suitably replace teeth in cases where full sets are missing.
Dental implants, however, are a brilliant, hassle-free permanent solution. Not only do they have fantastic durability and will last a long time if given the correct care, they also look brilliant and feel great.
